Are your garments new or old?

All our pieces are second-hand, either never worn dead stock or worn pieces dating back from the 1930s to the present day.

You are in the UK, what's the French connection?

Marie our French Workwear Company founder grew up in Eastern France, in a region known for its textile industry. We go back and forth between the two countries on a regular basis. Based in London, we sell worldwide.

How Do I Place An Order?​

Add your selected items in to your cart and go through the purchase process. If you need advice or help choosing the right jacket, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us.  We also have unlisted stock, bearing this mind, if you are after something specific, it's worth getting in touch.

What if I want to try a jacket before purchasing?

We run regular pop ups where you can come and try our range, please join our mailing list or keep an eye on our blog to find out about forthcoming dates. We also open our East London studio by appointment and you are welcome to come and try pieces. Contact us via hello[at]frenchworkwear.com.

I am OK buying online, what about sizing?

Our vintage and deadstock garments don't always come with a label, and when they do they may be out of date in terms of today's sizes. Therefore we use general menswear sizes (S, M, L, XL etc), and specific measurements in inches and centimetres. We recommend that you check against a similar garment of your own that fits you well, measuring flat and fully zipped or buttoned up on a flat surface. Armpit to armpit & chest most useful. Please get in touch if need be, we can help you choose what would work best for you.

Payment & Shipping

Your payment will be managed through Stripe, Paypal or Klarna and their safe and secure facilities. Once we have received your order, it will be sent within one or two working days. We ship worldwide.

For most orders, we use Royal Mail and their tracking service.

A different courier company may be used for larger orders, or if they are service disruptions.

Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.
