An interesting garment, a 'short' long atelier coat, indeed it has the cut of a long coat, but shorter (32" back length) and appears too long for a standard jacket. It also has wonderful mending and patches. S/M size (21.5" pit to pit), faded dark blue colour, lighter cotton fabric (lighter than your normal French workwear), most likely East European origin. 
5 front buttons, 3 patch pockets, sleeves with no cuffs, wonderful original repairs with the use of patches.
