Classic French green jacket, beautifully customised by embroider mender Jo aka The Jeans Genie. She has given this piece a unique makeover using classic sashiko stitching and hand embroidery techniques using a turmeric yellow thread.  Larger medium size (23" pit to pit M/L).
Jo upcycles vintage denim to give it a new life and purpose, using sashiko thread and hand sewing skills. This gives individual quality and soul to her pieces. She loves the mindful process of this - not really knowing where you’re going initially with each piece, without too much planning and seeing where the mend takes you.
For this piece she was inspired by the green fabric and guided by the natural stains the garment had acquired over the years.
